Why the same word has such different prices
“From” prices differ because the packages differ. A low price may not include the container, the urn, a copy of the death certificate, or collecting the person from a distance. A higher range usually means more is included, such as a viewing before cremation.
Ask each funeral home the same questions: What exactly is included? Is the crematory fee separate? Is the transfer included within Davidson County? What does an urn cost, and can we bring our own?
Burial prices, for comparison
Immediate burial means burial soon after death without a viewing. It does not include the cemetery plot, opening the grave, or the headstone, which the cemetery charges separately.
