The Tennessean’s obituaries are placed through an online portal run by Obituaries.com: thetennessean.obituaries.com. You choose a package, write or paste the text, add a photo, pick the date and pay by card. Help is available at 1-800-917-9207, 7 days a week, 7 AM to 7 PM Central.
The price depends on length, photos and how many days it runs. Ask for the total before you pay. The funeral home can also place it for you and add it to your bill as a cash advance item.
What to include
- Full name, the name people used, age, and town

Free ways to share the news
