Hestia puts that in one free, printable place you can hand over.

The guides need no account and cost nothing. Print them, photocopy them, put them in a bereavement folder, attach them to an email. No attribution required and no permission needed.

If you know something families get wrong, write it and we will publish it with your name and your organization. You keep the copyright. We do not charge for this and we do not ask for anything back.
Tell us where we are wrong
You see the consequences when families get the first week wrong. If something in our guidance is inaccurate for Tennessee, we would rather hear it from you than have families rely on it.
There is no referral arrangement, and there never will be.
No referral fee. No payment in either direction. No obligation to mention Hestia to anyone. No requirement to recommend, or avoid recommending, any funeral provider.
This matters practically, not just ethically. Hospice staff have real constraints on appearing to steer families toward particular funeral businesses, and attorneys are bound by rules on anything of value given for a client recommendation. Hestia is built so those questions do not arise: nothing of value moves between us, in either direction, ever.
If Hestia ever charges any provider category, educators, advisers and attorneys are excluded permanently.
What families get

Why it exists
Hestia was built by Hanna Lincoln, whose master's thesis examined commercial pressure and ethics in the death-care industry. The finding that prompted it: families make expensive, irreversible decisions in the first 48 hours with almost no plain information, and the people best placed to help them are usually not paid to.
