What families get, free
- A guided planner. Faith and budget first, then funeral homes and services that fit, cheapest first.
- Real price lists from funeral homes around Nashville and Charlotte, each with its date.
- Know before you call. Eight short lessons before the first conversation with a funeral home.
- A printable planning packet to bring to the arrangement meeting.
- A private family space so relatives who live far away can share the work.
- After the funeral. A step by step list for the weeks and months that follow.
Nobody pays to be shown. Hestia never recommends a provider. The family decides.

- Your own family link: families who open it see your organization’s name
- Printed cards with a QR code for your bereavement folders
- A monthly report of how many families used it, counts only, no names, small numbers hidden
- A short training call for social workers, chaplains and bereavement staff
- A say in what we build next for care teams
Coming later: a care team view. With the family’s invitation, your social worker could see their plan and answer questions in one place. We will offer it only after the agreements that health information requires are signed. Founding partners shape it first.
Fits your bereavement program
Medicare hospices offer bereavement support to families for up to a year after a death (42 CFR 418.64(d)). Hestia gives families something useful for that year: the after-funeral list, the planning packet and plain guides they can come back to.
Hestia supports your program. It does not replace your bereavement staff and is not a service you can bill.
No patient data, no steering
- You send us nothing about patients. Families open your link and use Hestia themselves, if they want to. Most of it works without an account.
- No referral money, in either direction. Hestia pays no one for referrals, and no funeral home pays Hestia to be shown.
- Your staff never have to recommend a funeral home. Hestia shows published prices and the family chooses.
- Families stay in control. What they plan stays private unless they choose to share it.
